UGANDA TO
REACH OUT MBUYA PARISH HIV/AIDS INITIATIVE.

organisation visited Reach Out - Mbuya
Parish HIV/AIDS initiative on Thursday
6th December 2007.
The visit was a follow up of a consultative
meeting between Fr.Rufino Ezama and
members of Humanitarian Care Uganda
which took place on Tuesday 27th 2007
about prospects of a proposal to establish
a Multi-purpose Resource Centre for
provision of relevant information
to promote behavioural change and
improve access to HIV/AIDS management
services for the vulnerable communities
infected and affected by HIV/AIDS
in Kampala District.
This particular visit was aimed at
answering the following pertinent
questions raised during this meeting:
· Are there any existing HIV/AIDS
resource centres in Kampala?
· If they do exist, what is
the estimated coverage and how many
people
benefit from the services provided?
· Do these resource centres
have up-to-date information and recent
findingson HIV/AIDS?
· Is the environment conducive
for all classes of people to benefit
from the
services offered?
· What are the major gaps and
challenges?
